Dancehall entertainer Rytikal is to stand trial next Wednesday in the Gun Court Division of the Home Circuit Court.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that the date was set on Wednesday when Rytikal appeared in court.
The 25-year-old entertainer, whose given name is Rohan McFarlane, is charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
It was reported that on January 28, the police were on patrol in Eight Miles, Bull Bay, St. Andrew when Rytikal was seen acting in a suspicious manner.
His car was searched and a firearm and 12 rounds of ammunition were allegedly found.
Rytikal reportedly told the police the weapon was a prop for a music video.
